Images are the appearance of
your website. We add images to make our website more presentable and
understandable. But this is not as simple to add the image. You should optimize
the images you are going to add. By optimizing the image you can get better
rank of your web page. There are some tips I am going to present here which you
must follow to get better ranks.
Appropriate Image:
This is so necessary to add an
image which is 100% relevant to your topic or at least have some concept. This
is better to choose High Dimension Images. Choose the image that you own. Do
not use other`s copyright stuff. Also .jpg images are more preferable. .png
images take more places.
Title of image:
Whenever we take a picture by the
camera, the default name is like DS020030.jpg. But you need to change that
title to optimize the image. Name your image with certain keywords. For example
Graphic- design- London.jpg. Never use spaces in the name of image. Google suggest placing
the images in one folder on your site.
Alt Text:
Use excellent alt text
description to make search engines know that what your image is about. Usually search
engines are not able to determine the description of image like they do for other
text of the site. So search engines determine the caption of the image.
Anchor Text:
Anchor text is very good choice
to make your image optimized for the search engines. Anchor text the image with certain link will help
a lot to rank better in search engines.
Image donation for Wikipedia:
This is sometimes helpful for
you and Wikipedia also. Wikipedia is pretty conservative about adding the
images. But they love a lot to add if you donate them. Donating the images to Wikipedia
if they belong to your business will make your identity.
Copyrights:
Create some copyright license
for your image particularly for one that requires attribution. So people would
not be able to add that into their site.
